Abstract:

The study focused on providing the Research and Development Department an information system that would centralize all their files. The system would cover the major functions of the office such as management of research and development services, promotion and utilization of research results, and resource generation and linkages.

This study used action research as its research design. It also used Iterative Life Cycle Model for the software development. On the other hand, survey questionnaire was utilized to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed system.

Findings revealed that the proposed system could allow multiple employees to retrieve and modify data simultaneously. In addition, the system could provide functions that would improve the file and data management of the office, thus, it was recommended to adopt and implement the system.
