Quasi-experimental research design was utilized and a standard Phil-IRI questionnaire was used in gathering data. Frequency and percentage, independent t-test and paired t-test were performed to find out the significant relationship between the pretest and posttest reading performances of the respondents in the two groups. The study revealed that using individualized reading materials contributed in improving the reading comprehension skills of the learners. Significant conclusions were given that the use of the individualized reading materials created a new learning atmosphere which motivated the pupils to improve their comprehension of the read text.
