The Effects of Learning Methods and Environmental Knowledge on Age 5-6 Naturalistic Intelligence (Experiment at AR – Ridho Nature Kindergaten Group B Tembalang Semarang)

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to see the impact of learning methods and environmental knowledge on the naturalistic intelligence of children aged 5-6 years. This research was carried out at Ar-Ridho Nature Kindergarten Semarang, with a total sample of 60 children. This study used an experimental method. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The naturalist intelligence groups of children who were given hands-on method of learning was higher than in children given storytelling learning methods, (2) the children's naturalist intelligence group given hands-on method of learning and who have a sound knowledge of the environment was higher than in the group of children given storytelling  learning methods. (3) The naturalist intelligence of the  group of children given storytelling learning method that have a low environmental knowledge was higher than in the group of children who were given hands-on learning methods. (4) There was an interaction between learning method and environmentally sound knowledge to the naturalist intelligence of children aged 5-6 years.
