THE COURT MARTIAL OF FATHERS BURGOS, GOMEZ AND ZAMORA*

Abstract:

On February 26 (the correct date is 15-A), 1872, the Court Martial convened at the hall of flags in Fort Santiago in Manila, where it instituted proceedings against Fathers Mariano Gomez, Jacinto Za­mora and Jose Burgos, the ex-soldier Zaldua and others, for the crime of conspiracy, rebellion and instigating the uprising of the soldiers in Fort San Felipe in Cavite, and those in the Arsenal of Kanakaw, in the same province.
