Abstract:

This descriptive study aimed to develop a software that can send a message to alert the police station, hospital, and other related agencies on the situation in the user’s location in emergency cases like fire and earthquake. The application will find the shortest way out of the building, block a path way, and send a distress message to help the user during an emergency. The researchers used the IT building for beta test to find if the algorithm used in the research will locate the user in the building in the shortest way possible. Survey questionnaires were distributed to 31 3rd year to 4th year students BS Computer Science students in Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba chosen through convenience sampling.
