Abstract:

This study determined the relationship between frequency of viewing English TV shows and the fluency in speaking in English among the Grade 6 Pupils of Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba. Adopting descriptive correlation, the researchers conducted surveys with eight selected grade 6 pupils and their parents to determine the frequency of viewing English TV shows in the past and at present. They also videotaped interview in English between an English teacher and the individual pupils to determine the fluency of the selected pupils in speaking in English as evaluated by three long time English teachers.
