Abstract:

This study is a Qualitative Analysis of the Resilience and World View of Institutionalized Children in Caloocan City. The researchers made use of the in-depth interview method in acquiring data for the study and used Thematic Content Analysis (TCA) for data analysis. Four (4) female participants and three (3) male participants were chosen through purposive sampling. From the results that were gathered and analyzed, the researchers found out that majority of the children inside the government institution in Caloocan City, particularly the Social Welfare Department (SDC) and Tahanang Mapagpala Center (TMC), were abandoned and have experienced physical and emotional abuse. The results reveal that children inside the institutions of Caloocan City are less resilient and have a negative world view.
