PANGUIL RIVER ECO-PARK AND ITS QUEST FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract:

People travel to explore new things. This study assessed Magdalena White Water River Rafting as a recreation and tourist destination in Laguna by using observation checklist that focused on the six chosen critera set by the Department of Tourism (DOT), such as diversity of tourist attractions, accessibility from points of entry, availability of infrastructure, availability of accommodations, availability of support services to tourism, and peace and order conditions. The researchers also surveyed 31 respondents in November to December. Results revealed an overall rating of Good. In every  criterion, findings showed: diversity of tourist attractions was Very Good; accessibility from points of entry was Good; availability of infrastructure was Good; availability of accommodations was Good; availability of support services to tourism was Good; and peace and order condition was Good.
