Abstract:

Throughout Asia and the Pacific, many cultural heritage sites are under threat and the Kabayan Mummy Burial Caves are one of them. This qualitative study determined the factors that made the said site enlisted by UNESCO as endangered; the risks in conserving the Kabayan Mummy Burial Caves in terms of carrying capacity, conservation of cultural resources, and well-being of the Ibalois; the potential damages and threats in Kabayan Mummy Burial Caves; and the conservation approaches of the local government unit.
