Motivation and Work Efficiency of Banana Company Employees in Davao del Norte

Abstract:

This descriptive-correlative study aimed to determine the level of motivation and work efficiency among employees and examined the relationship of motivation and work efficiency of banana Exporter Company in Davao del Norte. The respondents of the study were 100 regular banana exporter employees and were selected through purposive sampling. The descriptive method was used in presenting the level of motivation and work efficiency while the correlational design was used in presenting the degree of association of variables. The average weighted mean, standard deviation, and Pearson r were the statistical tools used. The findings of the study showed that the level of motivation of employees was very high which means that they always felt the desire to work. Moreover, the level of participants’ efficiency was also very high which implies that work standards were always observed. Finally, study showed that there was a strong significant relationship between motivation and work efficiency of Banana Exporter Company employees. The study concluded that motivated employees could bring a high-quality output and successful work performance.
