Leadership Framework of School Heads and Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Teachers in Malabog District, Davao City

Abstract:

The purpose of the research was to determine the significance of the influence of leadership framework of school heads on the organizational citizenship behavior of teachers. The respondents of this study were the 135 teachers of Malabog District, Davao City. This study employed the descriptive-correlation design in describing the relationship between leadership framework of school heads and organizational citizenship behavior of teachers. Mean, standard deviation, Pearson r, and stepwise multiple regression were the statistical tools used in data analysis. Research instruments used were the adopted questionnaires. These were pilot tested and validated to suit in the context of the study. Using descriptive correlation method, it was established in the study the significant relationship demonstrating that the leadership framework of school heads was a factor on the organizational citizenship behavior of teachers. As the school heads’ leadership framework increases, there was a greater chance that teachers’ organizational citizenship behavior would increase or vice versa. Result indicated that working with others was found to be the significant predictor that for its every unit of increase, there was a corresponding increase in the organizational citizenship behavior of teachers.
