Hybrid Rice Technology Utilization in Region XII

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to find out the utilization of hybrid rice technology in Region XII. The data were gathered through interview schedule, focus group discussion and secondary data. Respondents had good perceptions on the attributes of hybrid rice technology and were aware of the benefits and potentials of the technology. The determinant factors in the utilization of the technology obtained through multiple regression and correlation analyses were educational attainment, the farmer‟s behavioral characteristics; high productivity performance in technology, face-to-face contact and printed materials as sources of information.
