Towards Sustainable Healthy and Safety Environment of UAE Commercial Malls through Effective Car Park Smoke Management System

Abstract:

The research study aims to determine the effectiveness of the car park smoke management system towards a sustainable healthy and safe environment of the United Arab Emirates commercial malls. The method used was the descriptive quantitative type of research employing the structured survey questionnaire with the application of the Likert Scale. To reach the answer for the objective, survey questionnaires were distributed to the respondents namely car park management staff, family drivers, and shoppers, and was requested to rate them using the Likert Scale. They were asked to rate the following independent variables such as smoke management system, government regulations, vehicular activities, car park air movement, and car park natural ventilation as they relate to the effective car park smoke management system towards sustainable healthy, and safe environment of the United Arab Emirates commercial malls. Based on the respondents’ answers, it was concluded that the respondents are satisfied with the effectiveness of the car park smoke management system in UAE. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no need to conduct corrective measures or actions to improve the current smoke management system.
