Abstract:

The Daily Lesson Log is an official record of activities, instructions and learning experiences written in systematically and presented in a tabular form. The Department of Education implemented the Department Order 42, S.2016, known as policy guidelines for preparing the K-12 Basic Education Program. These guidelines affirm the role of the K-12 teachers as a facilitator of learning. This survey used a descriptive survey to determine the implementation level of the Daily Lesson Log. The respondents were the teachers and principals of Central Schools of Buenavista Districts. The researchers used a questionnaire in which aspect includes the respondents’ demographic profile, learning resources, lesson design, performance assessment, and teachers’ reflection. Findings revealed that the implementation level of daily lesson log fully implemented. It concluded that there is no significant relationship between respondents’ profile and the Daily Lesson Log Implementation of Central Schools of Buenavista District I, II, III, and IV. Therefore, the teachers should improve the lesson design since it marked the lowest rank. School principals should evaluate the teacher’s teaching performance as well as the strategies that are applied inside the classroom, whether it is effective or needs improvement.
