Aplaya Calamba: Its Potentials as a Tourist Destination

Abstract:

The study aimed to assess the potentials of Aplaya Calamba as a tourist destination. The existing condition of Aplaya Calamba and its potentials in terms of attraction, accommodation, amenities, and accessibility were discussed in this study. SWOT analysis of the place was also covered in this study.

The study made use of descriptive method of research. Data were obtained using interview guide answered by the local officials of the barangay and the deparment head of the DOT in the municipality. Diary technique was also used in this study.

Results showed that Aplaya Calamba has strong potentials to be a tourist destination given all the resources available. However, development and improvement should still be done particularly on its accommodations and amenities.
