Abstract:

This research paper identified how the volunteers of Live Pure Movement perceived the communication strategies they used in promoting a chaste life. Challenges experienced by the Live Pure Movement volunteers in promoting a chaste life were also analyzed through understanding the message of living a chaste life, utilization of the channels, and approaches in terms of what the Live Pure Movement volunteers wanted the audience to know, to feel, and to do. The researchers also determined the motivations of the volunteers in promoting a chaste life. Further, the researchers develop a plan on how the communication strategies of the Live Pure Movement can help increase awareness in promoting a chaste life through trainings, workshops and activities. A focused group discussion with four volunteers of Live Pure Movement was conducted. It was found that the Live Pure Movement volunteers perceived the communication strategies they used in promoting a chaste life was not only a message they needed to communicate, but also they were considered a way of living. The volunteers did not have enough resources to be utilized, and so, when technical difficulties occurred, the message they wanted to convey may have been affected. Using the Know-Feel-Do model, the study revealed that the Live Pure Movement volunteers approach their audience through what they want the audience to know, feel, and do. The motivation of the volunteers came from the way Live Pure Movement helped them be better versions of themselves. Hence, the researchers developed plans on how the communication strategies of Live Pure Movement can help increase awareness in promoting a chaste life through conducting trainings on technical and soft skills for cluster and team members. This will, in turn, help the group raise fund for their activities. Live Pure Movement volunteers then should continuously attend trainings and workshops to further develop their communication skills and strategies.
