Abstract:

The research was undertaken to determine the communication flow particularly in the implementation of the policies in Calauan Municipal Government Administrative Office in 2017. The research participants were the nine (9) employees from different departments including subordinates and interns who were working at the Municipal Government of Calauan, Laguna at the time of study. This case study used an interview guide to gather data from the employees. Based on the results of the analysis, there are facilitating factors and hindering factors that affect the implementation of the policies. The exclusivity of the information in which only a few identified personnel can access the information contributes to the problem of effective implementation. It was also indicated that the layout of the municipal government disrupted the natural communication flow since some departments are isolated and distant from the main office. The researchers recommended that future studies on government, cultural dimension, and Philippine culture should be pursued.
