Abstract:

The encoding of student’s information for the retention and migration report by the Registrar’s Department of Letran Calamba is manually done every semester. To lessen the workload, the system is proposed to help them improve the management of reports needed every end of the semester. This study aimed to produce a system that will enable the Registrar’s Department to automatically produce reports based on the information in the Letran System without the use of manual encoding to MS Excel. The proposed system will have a data visualization for the users to include an explanation on why the percentages differ every year. Through descriptive design, the study provided a discussion on the responses and feedback from the systems’ supposed users, the Registrar’s Employees and Department Heads. The results showed that the proposed system was able to help the Registrar’s Department of Letran Calamba lessen the time needed in interpreting and analyzing information and improve the outputs and data needed in the retention and migration report. The researchers therefore recommended that features such as predictive analytics, data backup schedule, decision support, and a module the enables the admin to disable an account that will no longer be used may be considered by future researchers to improve the current systems’ capabilities.
