Abstract:

The research study identified the factors of engagement at work as drivers of organizational citizenship behavior of Letran Calamba Personnel. The researchers gathered data from 57 personnel consisting of administrators, administrative officers, and rank and file employees within the institution. Quantitative data were obtained through a survey that included 20 items about engagement at work and 28 items about organizational citizenship behavior. Results of the correlation analysis showed that three out of four factors of engagement at work are drivers of organizational citizenship behavior of Letran Calamba Personnel. Loyalty, which is a factor of organizational citizenship behavior, received the lowest rating though. As a recommendation, the researchers encouraged Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba to focus on loyalty since it received the lowest rating among all factors of organizational citizenship behavior. The institution must create programs that will determine why loyalty is the institution’s emerging concern to their personnel. Likewise, the institution must review their policies since some may have experienced dissatisfaction in their work-life balance or other factors such as compensation and benefits.
