A Project Feasibility Study on Establishing a Convenience Store in Brgy. West Poblacion, Rizal, Laguna

Abstract:

This research project was conducted to determine the feasibility of putting up a convenience store in Brgy. West Poblacion, in Rizal, Laguna. The proposed convenience store would provide not only convenience to its consumers but also an opportunity for the community of Rizal to generate additional income. The target market of the proposed project would be the residents of Rizal. Survey questionnaire, interview guide, and actual observation were used to obtain pertinent data. In putting up an organization, the key considerations consist of the following: mode of ownership, organizational structure, employee’s duties and responsibilities, job specifications and description of personnel, and the plan for pre-operating period. Its technical aspect provides all the necessary information for the selection and cost of the project site, lay out, structures and utilities inspection, and material source. The study also analyzed the cost of the project, sources of funds, projected financial statements, information of different amounts contained in the projected financial statement, and analysis of the technical projections. Moreover, this segment of the study quantified the results of the analysis of the marketing, technical, and management aspects of the project.
