The Feasibility of Establishing a Specialty Stationery Boutique in Calamba City, Laguna

Abstract:

This study was conducted to determine the feasibility of establishing a specialty stationery boutique in Calamba City, Laguna. A specialty stationery includes pens, notebooks, washi tapes, sticky notes, and planners that have cute designs and wide variants of colors. These products are continuously growing in the market, and stores in different malls are offering these materials for more sources of profit. The researchers used descriptive research design with 132 respondents, who were all girls from Junior high school to College. It was found that girls in this age bracket especially the junior and senior high school students are very much fond and willing to buy specialty stationery products. It was also pointed out that specialty stationery products are being offered in many other stores other than those in the malls. The researchers suggested that future researchers may conduct similar feasibility study in other locations or include the working professionals as respondents to determine their market. It would also be interesting if the future researchers could identify new market for the said products as well as new suppliers of specialty stationery items.
