Attention Device: A Feasibility Study

Allyssa Denise E. Manabat | King Carlos N. Ramilo | Coleen Yvonne B. Reyes

Abstract:

This feasibility study identified whether there is really a need for protection for people from sanger and if the business would be feasible selling the My Voice device, an instrument that produces a noise up to 120dB that could help the victim gather attention to chase away the attacker. Only few studies tackled the issue of sexual harassment and no study so far about how crime incidents could be prevented with the use of such device has been reported. The researchers used descriptive research design with quantitative approach and conducted a non-probability sampling with 100 respondents aged 20 to 59 years old from Calamba City, Laguna. The researchers were able to identify that there is a demand for the product through needs analysis. The researchers found that the target market considered My Voice device helpful, and the majority were willing to purchase; therefore, there is a demand for the product. With proper marketing mix, a feasible business that supports anti-sexual harassment could be produced. Future researchers may pursue a similar study in other areas since the product has great potential to be viable in the wider range of the market. Future researchers are also encouraged to partner with organizations that have the same principles as the business.
