Joseph Paolo E. Antiporta | Krystelle Charlene S. Deomampo

Abstract:

This study determined the feasibility of hydroponics farming in Calamba City. This business concept is suitable for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to rebuild and sustain the customers’ needs via indoor farming. Hydroponics does not depend on the season whether it would be the right time to plant vegetables, considering its indoor attributes that can sustain and produce highly competitive vegetables and its non-spacious environment that can produce five times more than those soil cultivated plants. Hydroponic system gains its reputation in rebuilding new era of farming. It gives entrepreneurs the freedom of time and enjoyment while farming, and it does less of a work and can sustain life with the aid of water flow system. The study employed a descriptive research design with qualitative approach. It included a discussion of the marketing aspect, technical aspect, management aspect, financial aspect, socio-economic of the study. Based on the results of the survey conducted in 15 different restaurants in Calamba, hydroponically grown vegetables are already introduced to the target market.
