The Health Issues of Letran – Calamba Retirees: A Phenomenological Study Nursing Practice: Phenomenological Study

Abstract:

This study focused on the health issues of Letran Calamba retirees and the struggles they experienced. Through a phenomenological approach, the researchers performed interviews to obtain information from five Letran retirees who were residing in Calamba City. To analyze the interview results, the Collaizi’s method was used, and results showed that the retirees had a number of health issues, such as hypertension, emotional despair, and memory decline due to their retirement and aging. Their concerns also led to health deterioration. These findings therefore can provide a basis for the improvement of retirement programs and plans that Letran-Calamba can offer.
