MOTIVATIONAL FACTORS IN CHOOSING SOCIAL GOALS OF SELECTED ETHNIC GROUPS OF STUDENTS IN DAVAO CITY

Abstract:

The main objective of this study was to find out the extent of the relationship between the level of motivational factors and the level of choosing social goals of the different ethnic groups of students in Davao City. Using the descriptive correlation survey method, with percentage, weighted mean, ANOVA-test and Pearson r as statistical tools, it can be deduced that there was a positive significant correlation between the two variables. The result suggested that educational institutions should revise and enrich the school curriculum and focus more on the improvement of the motivational factors especially for the different ethnic groups of students or cultural minorities in Mindanao Region.
