A MODEL OF LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO STUDENT LEADERS

Abstract:

This study was conducted during the first semester of school year 2002-2003. Its objectives were designed to evaluate the conduct of student activities of the University of Mindanao whether it had fully implemented the existing policies and guidelines for the development of leadership skills, values, attitudes, and task functions of student leaders. The study involved 37 senior presidents and 37 advisers of accredited clubs and organizations of the university during the school year 2002-2003 as respondents of the study. Questionnaires were designed by the researcher as the main data gathering instrument. Based on the results of the survey, a model for leadership training was formulated.
