Discipline: Business

Abstract:

This study aimed to determine the significant relationship between areas of product innovations and business growth among processors in Davao City. Employing descriptive-correlation method with mean, Pearson r and partial correlation analysis as statistical tools, it was found out that there was no antecedent relationship between risk taking attitude and packaging and processing. Moreover, partial correlation analysis showed causal relation existed between profit-pricing maximization strategy and innovation in preparation and use by consumers when innovation in storage and transportation was controlled. It is recommended that the government should enhance quality and productivity quest of food processors in Davao for them to be globally competitive. Likewise, food processors should attend seminars and conferences to further strengthen their decision-making skills.
