An Investigative Study on the Kilowatt-hour Meter on Residential

Abstract:

This technical research compares the readings of power on residential electrical equipment when measured by a single-phase kilowatt- hour meter and a single-phase wattmeter. The results indicate

that there is a consistent difference in the readings regardless of whether the residential load is resistive or reactive. The discrepancy in readings has to do with the meter itself and the switching of loads is switched on.
