Abstract:
The study provides information on the current situation, causes, and
solutions for designing lesson plans to approach the student as well as the
capacity of biology teachers of high schools in Mekong Delta. The survey results
and qualitative and quantitative analysis of 30 high school teachers show that
the Ministry of Education and Training has widely directed the development of
lesson plans in developing students' competencies for almost five years in all
subjects and all levels. However, this has not been adequately understood by high
school teachers in Mekong Delta when implemented despite adequate training.
Most teachers still face many difficulties, both subjectively and objectively. Some
teachers are still not satisfied with the results of the training in terms of both
form and content. That is why schools and leaders need specific solutions, such
as inviting university experts to train, guide and support teachers to solve
problems.
