Further, there are no significant differences in responses regarding professionalism, research productivity, and teaching innovation were observed across various demographic profile, indicating a common perspective among faculty members on these aspects and there are strong positive correlations that exist between teacher professionalism, research productivity, and innovative teaching practices, suggesting that improvements in one area are likely to positively impact the others.
Based on the results of the study, a Faculty Development program focused on enhancing personal motivation, strengthening research capacity, promoting industry partnerships, and supporting innovative teaching methods are necessary to address challenges and build on the unique strengths of private colleges in China is proposed.
