Awareness and Practices of the Bids and Awards Committee and the Technical Working Group: Its Contribution to Liquidation Report

Abstract:

The study determined the level of awareness and practices of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) and the Technical Working Group (TWG) and its contribution to the efficient and prompt submission of the MOOE Liquidation Report of the schools in the Division of Iligan City. The study utilized the descriptive-correlation research design to test the significant relationship between the respondents’ status of the submission of Liquidation Report in terms of efficiency and promptness, demographic profile, the level of awareness in the procurement process; and which variable best predicts the dependent variable. In the level of awareness of the procurement process, the result showed that the overall weighted mean obtained by the respondents was very high which was interpreted as “Very Aware”. Additionally, in the status of submission of the liquidation report, the result revealed that the respondents' overall weighted mean was very high which can be interpreted as “Always”. Further, in regression analysis, the respondents’ efficiency, and promptness in submitting liquidation report was affected by length of services, level of awareness, and practices. Thus, the null hypothesis stated that “there was no variable singly or in combination that best predicts respondents’ promptness in submitting liquidation report” was rejected.
