DoCARE: A Mobile Application For Donation Utilizing Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm

Abstract:
The DoCare mobile application has emerged as a strategic response to the ever-changing environment of philanthropy and mobile giving. The donation mobile application, which was rooted in the boom of mobile giving, has been painstakingly built to link donors with charitable organizations through mobile giving via their mobile phones or tablets. For that reason, this study’s major purpose is to create a mobile application that is easy to navigate and focuses on efficiency and access. In doing so, it employs the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm for security purposes, thus proofing its commitment to guarding user data and transaction integrity. This is why Java, Android Studio, PHP, and MySQL are used during development to build an efficient platform for both charities and donors alike. Nevertheless, even though it was just designed for charities based in the Philippines, the app’s futuristic approach plans for future extension beyond national boundaries, including all other philanthropic groups operating outside the nation. Besides giving the app a wide dimension, the strategic integration of PayPal as a mode of payment does not only enable users to contribute easily but also widens its marketability and privacy. DoCare, moreover, helps users donate to charities in a straightforward manner using mobile technology. This encourages generosity and has a social effect. DoCare is forward-thinking and constantly striving for improvement—these are the characteristics that set it apart within the changing world of mobile philanthropy and as one with the potential to make real changes in communities all around the world.
