Abstract:
The study explores the critical link between the EI and VCs among the senior high school students in the Philippines to establish the possibility and prospects of these students with intended understanding on the strategic position of senior high school education in students’ education and career. This research is crucial given the existing gaps in Employment Prosperity in the Philippines with a lower-middle-income economy that needs to find new ways to boost employment and growth since traditional employment sources are scarce, and the population continues to rise. This study, which adopts descriptive research design, surveyed a total of 277 high school students enrolled in private schools in Batangas City to measure their entrepreneurial intention and venturing capabilities. The findings underscore the importance of perceived desirability of the endeavor in influencing the entrepreneurial intentions, and the desirability imperative therefore calls for social interventions to make such careers more attractive to people while at the same time increasing their self-belief in their capability to be entrepreneurs and their achievement motivation. There is a significant positive relationship between entrepreneurial intentions and venturing capabilities among Senior High School students. This suggests ways of developing leadership skills as well as imagination and motivation, the elements that have been looked down on as weaknesses. It also seeks to emphasize the importance of incorporating the aspect of entrepreneurship in education curriculums and supporting entrepreneurship education with synergy amongst educators, businesspeople and policy makers to create comprehensive learning experience
