Discipline: Education

Abstract:

This study examines the relationship between post-graduation support mechanisms and the factors leading to the discontinuation of student-led business projects among Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship graduates from Trece Martires City College (TMCC) between 2022 and 2024. Utilizing a correlational research design with a quantitative approach, data were collected from 120 graduates through structured survey questionnaires. The surveys assessed the types and effectiveness of post-graduation support received, including financial assistance, mentorship, networking opportunities, and educational programs, and the current status of their entrepreneurial ventures. Descriptive statistics summarized the demographic profiles and support experiences of respondents, while inferential statistics, specifically Pearson's correlation coefficient, evaluated the relationships between support mechanisms and business discontinuation factors. The findings indicated a statistically significant correlation between the extent of post-graduation support and the sustainability of student-led businesses, highlighting that graduates who received comprehensive support were more likely to continue their ventures post-graduation. These results underscore the critical role of institutional support in fostering entrepreneurial success among graduates and suggest that enhanced support structures could mitigate the discontinuation of student-led businesses.
