Abstract:

This study examined the key challenges Enrollment Officers face when implementing conversion strategies for freshmen at a private university, as identified through focus group discussions with 13 experienced officers. Enrollment Officers reported challenges including technical or system issues, communication difficulties, workplace stress, work overload, and difficulties addressing applicants' financial concerns. These obstacles reduce the effectiveness of conversion strategies and impact enrollment outcomes. Addressing these issues is essential to improving conversion rates, enhancing the applicant experience, and supporting university stability.
