Abstract:

The Philippines have constantly tried to improve their healthcare system to cater to every single citizen, regardless of social class. However, up to this date, the country has yet to completely provide quality and accessible healthcare for all its citizens, even more so for the impoverished household population. This leads to families being trapped in poverty and millions of Filipinos suffering and dying from curable diseases. This capstone project aims to create a game that sheds light on the factors that cause the lack of quality and accessible healthcare and its effects on impoverished Filipino families through the story of Doc Baw, a doctor working in a provincial hospital who is faced with the harsh reality of the state of the healthcare system in rural Philippines.
