The Influence of Work Environment and Compensation on Job Satisfaction among Cooperative Employees in Cotabato Province

Abstract:

In today's competitive landscape, understanding what drives employee satisfaction is crucial, and this study unveils the powerful impact of work environment and compensation on job satisfaction among cooperative employees in Cotabato Province. Adopting a rigorous methodology, the research utilizes a meticulously crafted and validated questionnaire to gather insightful data, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 8 principles, which emphasizes decent work and economic growth. The findings reveal that job satisfaction is significantly impacted by both the work environment and compensation, with employees reporting high levels of satisfaction attributed to engaging job content, supportive supervisors, and robust facilities. Competitive salaries and incentives further enhance this satisfaction, improving morale, reducing turnover, and increasing productivity. The study concludes that fostering a positive work environment and fair compensation is crucial for enhancing job satisfaction, ultimately benefiting cooperative organizations. Recommendations for continuous improvement in leadership development, workplace conditions, and compensation structures are provided, reinforcing the necessity of a motivating work atmosphere. Future research is suggested to explore additional variables influencing job satisfaction, such as organizational culture and leadership styles, to enhance understanding across various sectors.
