Competency-Based Learning Module (Cblm) In Building Utilities For Basic 3D Sanitary And Plumbing Layout And Details Using Building Information Modeling (Bim) Software

Abstract:
This study attempted to develop and evaluate a Competency- based Learning Module (CBLM) in Building Utilities for Basic 3D Sanitary and Plumbing Layout and Details using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software of the Marikina Polytechnic College, Marikina City during the academic year 2023-2024. The scope of this research was limited to the development of a competency-based learning module (CBLM) in Building Utilities for Basic 3D Sanitary and Plumbing Layout and Details using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. A survey questionnaire was used to gather the data and consists of five (5) criteria namely: Learning Outcomes, Learning Inputs, Self-Check, Task-Sheet and Job-Sheet, and Layout
and Presentation. The findings showed that both the Drafting Technology Experts and Industry Practitioners evaluated the developed competency-based learning module (CBLM) in Building Utilities for Basic 3D Sanitary and Plumbing Layout and Details using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software as Strongly Agree relative to learning outcomes, learning inputs, self-check, task-sheet and job-sheet and layout and presentation. In addition, there was no significant difference between the evaluation of the two groups of respondents on the developed competency-based learning module (CBLM) in Building Utilities for Basic 3D Sanitary and Plumbing Layout and Details using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software as regards to the criteria. Comments and suggestions were given by the respondents to further improve the module.
