On Becoming a Teacher: Pre-service Students’ Reflections on their Competencies

Using descriptive- qualitative approach, this investigation

determines the competencies mastered by the preservice teachers in English

from three (3) Teacher Education Institutions in the University Belt. Results

indicated that content appears to be mastered whereas professional

education was not so much mastered by the participants of the study.
