Abstract:

The study determined the awareness of forensic odontology among undergraduate students in LPU-Batangas. Utilizing quantitative research design, it had a total of 219 sample size from undergraduate dentistry students and senior and junior clinicians who were enrolled for academic year 2022-2023. Findings found that the dental students are fully aware of the conceptual and dental record maintenance while also being aware of the benefits of forensic odontology. For conceptual awareness, only their year level and familiarity influenced their level of awareness since clinicians are more conceptually aware than students in their fourth year. In terms of awareness as to its benefits, the respondents' familiarity level produced an effect and difference. Moreover, when it comes to dental record maintenance, difference in awareness exists between year levels with clinicians having higher awareness than those who were in third year and fourth year.
