Pushover Analysis and Evaluation of a Retrofitted Reinforced Concrete Building in Davao City

Abstract:

The study describes the performance-based strength and seismic evaluation precedure for a Retrofitted Reinforced Concrete Building in Davao City. The seismic code compliance evaluation followed the NSCP 2001 Earthquake Provisions while the performance evaluation followed both FEMA 356 and ATG 40. Study reveals that the original building has insufficient Earthquake Lateral Resistance and increased but insufficient lateral stiffness along the longitudinal figure but with an unacceptable Global Building Response. The study recommends retrofitting of the columns at the ground level
