Abstract:

Academic libraries everywhere are now faced with the challenge to improve operations and services, together with increasing resources of print and non-print materials. Libraries, like other organizations, experience stages of growth and development. This is most felt in our Philippine situation today. We are fortunate, however, that through literature search excellent documentations are prolific and are available. Studies and surveys, analysis and design used for improving traditional operations or for developing technologies in academic libraries in the United States and Canada are well documented. We can, therefore, profit much from their experiences by making the proper modifications and adaptations.
