Abstract:

The study focused on the improvement of the wastewater treatment facility of Lepanto Ceramics Inc. by identifying the most practical and cost-effective treatment and design.

Results showed that the most practical and cost-effective treatment and design for the wastewater treatment facility is the installation of aerobic digestion tank, aeration tank, and third settling tank with the application of enzyme or the installation of sand filter and holding tank. In addition, there are different types of treatment that can be used in the system as long as they treat wastewater efficiently.

The study recommended the installation of aerobic digestion tank, aeration tank, and third settling tank that can handle 55 cubic meter of effluent of the excess discharge of the company per day since it is the most practical and economical solution among the alternatives discussed in the study.
