Abstract:

This research project was undertaken partly in response to the apparent expressed dissatisfaction of faculty members with the way appraisal of faculty performance was being done, and partly due to some reportedly questionable decisions undertaken by school authorities that sprang from such appraisal. The study herefore determines whether there were valid grounds for dissatisfaction regarding the performance appraisal system, in general, and the evaluation instrument, in particular, as used in business schools.
