Discipline: History

Abstract:

During the first days of my service in the Philippines I spent seven years in the Province of Bohol. As my job was a supervisory one, traveling on horseback in every town and barrio of the province, I became very familiar with the Dagohoy country. I listened to many legends about his miraculous escapes from. The Spaniards and even visited one of the caves near Candijay where he sought refuge and escaped from another back exit out of the cave.
