Rizal Would Have Been A Great Rotaritarian

Discipline: History

Abstract:

My theme was told to you by our president a month ago. In The Rotary Balita of May 12, 1960, Mr. Ordoveza said: "Dr. Jose Rizal, the Great Malayan whose martyrdom in Bagumbayan has touched the hearts of freedom-loving peoples in the world, would have been a great Rotarian." This statement is one of the great truths about Rizal, and because it has been made in such a clear and graphic fashion plus the fact that I know that all of you gentlemen here present are more or less familiar with what Rizal had done, I feel happy to have it assigned to me on this occasion.
