Abstract:

Jose Rizal the Filipino National Hero in whose honor a centennial celebration is being observed this year, is admittedly a many-sided genius. His biographers have called him a hero, a martyr, a physician-surgeon, a philosopher, a poet, a novelist, a sculptor, a painter, a linguist, an anthropologist, an ethnologist, an educator, a sanitary engineer, a zoologist, a botanist, and many other laudable things.
