Abstract:

In a study of the 5 year performance of high school graduates in the admission tests in one of the top three universities in the National Capital Region, Miriam High School graduates had the third highest percentage of passers. The second highest percentage was from a school which had a far smaller number of examinees over the 5 years studied.

The percentile ranks in sciences and mathematics of Miriam High School graduates over the five years were generally higher than those of the majority of the schools included in the study. The data shows that Miriam College has an edge that is not often acknowledged in national competitions.
