Abstract:

This paper attempts to give a total image of the Bikols in four parts: the first, on methodology; the second, on who and what are the Bikols (covering the pre-conquest period); the third, on Bikol reactions to the colonization and why they acted that way; and fourth, on the contemporary state of the Bikols and what measures can be done to lead the people to change, development and progress.
