Abstract:

Nowhere is social change better reflected than in the growth of the population. But there are problems encountered when collecting and determining population data for the province of Pangasinan in the Spanish era. The first of these problems is that the province designated as Pangasinan had several changes of jurisdiction. The second problem is determining the validity of the data found in the sources of the period.
